We offer fun and inspiring 4 day courses to girls and boys aged 9 -17 years which are designed for our young and creative sewers of the future. We sometimes offer special classes for 7-9yr olds. Over the 4 days everyone will choose and make at least one project which will suit the age and ability of each student. This will be using hand sewing, machine sewing or often a combination of both. Don't worry if you have never sewn before as we cater to all levels and we have loads of different projects to choose from! Sewing machines, overlockers and basic materials are provided ( see "what to bring " below).
Please come to 7 Clovelly Road Randwick (Centennial Park end) for these classes

You will need to bring
We have sewing machines for you to use but if you know how to use yours we would love you to bring your own machine. You will then really get to know your machine and all its features. For school holiday classes we are happy for you to bring your machine on the first day and leave it here until the end of the week. Please do not send a sewing machine along unless your child has basic knowledge of how to use it, thread and wind a bobbin. Please discuss with me beforehand if unsure.
We have a great variety of projects your child can choose from which can be anything from an extremely cute handsewn felt animal through to machine sewn pyjama pants , shorts, skirts or pillowcases etc.
We provide most materials and equipment but if your child decides to make something which uses a lot of fabric ( eg. pyjama pants ) we may ask you to buy your own fabric. Feel free to bring your own sewing kit if you have one but it's not necessary.
Please make sure your child either wears or brings a pair of closed-in shoes (eg. sneakers) for safety reasons.
We do not offer snacks - just plenty of fresh filtered water so please make sure your child has something to eat to keep their energy levels up !
